Information Studies at Aberystwyth University offers a range of postgraduate and undergraduate courses for the information profession. All of our degree courses lead to professional qualifications and are fully accredited by the Archives and Records Association UK and Ireland (ARA) and/or the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP). We were shortlisted for the Digital Preservation Awards in 2014 and 2016.

You can study with us on campus full-time or can combine work and study via our established distance learning programmes. We have over 50 years’ experience in offering education and training for the information profession, including 30 years’ experience in offering distance learning. The Centre for Archive and Information Studies is one of the largest worldwide providers of dedicated recordkeeping degrees and short courses by distance learning in the world. Our network of tutors allows us to deliver a range of modules for Continuing Professional Development and Diploma and Masters degrees. Our proven track record in the delivery of professional education in recordkeeping by online learning is recognised in full professional accreditation by the Archives & Records Association UK & Ireland (ARA) and Records & Information Management Professionals Australasia (RIMPA) and by a commendation from the Information and Records Management Society UK (IRMS).
